The Bohemian: pub grub review

Great food, shame about the choice.

We went last night to The Bohemian pub in Eastbourne, our first visit there since it changed from being The Stage Door. It was rammed which was understandable because it was the Saturday night of the Airbourne air show. Nevertheless, the service was brilliant.

The menu is extremely limited and I was surprised that there was only one burger choice and no main salads. However, the food we chose was excellent. My partner had a delicious Butterbean goulash which came with a sesame seed roll; I had two fat spicy Tuscan sausages which were perfectly complemented by buttery shredded cabbage and green lentils. There were only three desserts on the menu (one of which I couldn’t eat with my chocolate intolerance) and so we decided to pop over to Favoloso for an al fresco two-scoops of ice cream.

Our visit was 17th August 2024.
